Summary

An interesting walk because of the weather (low cloud) and conditions (snow and ice underfoot). The walk starts at Crowden and takes you along Torside Reservoir, up the Pennine Way to Wain Stones and Bleaklow Head and then down The Pennine Way and Doctors Gate to Old Glossop. From here the route crosses to Little Padfield Farm and Padfield and then on the Longdendale Trail to Torside Reservoir and back to Crowden.

The route finding needs care in poor visibility towards Wain Stones, onto Bleaklow Head and down the first section of the Pennine away to the south of Bleaklow Head to Doctors Gate. Other than that the paths are clear and in the valleys well sign posted.

You can select either to look at the text of the walk (Text Only) or read my diary and summary of the walk (Diary)
