Summary

The walk starts at the car park at Thornton Rust and climbs up onto Addlebrough, with magnificent views over Wensleydale and Raydale. From Addlebrough the route takes you to Carpley Green where you join Busk Lane and climb up onto Stake Allotments. Here you join the Stake Road which climbs over Stake Moss before dropping down to the road at the top of Bishopdale. After a short stretch of road walking you take a path down Bishopdale via Dale Head and onto Ribba Hall. From here you walk down the valley bottom to Thoralby. From Thoralby you climb up and over Aysgarth Pastures and back to Thornton Rust.

A good walk . Addleborough is is the highlight as the views from the top are excellent.

The route finding is straight forward and the paths generally good and well signposted. It's a good choice if the weather is not at its best!
