Summary

The walk starts at Kettlewell and ascends Great Whernside via the northern side of Dowber Gill Beck and Hag Dike. From the summit the route drops to the Coverdale road and then climbs up Buckden Pike via Tor Mere Top. From Buckden Pike you descend into Wharfedale again and Buckden. The final section ascends Birk Fell and then follows the northern side of Wharfedale down across Old Cote Moor Top to Middlesmoor Pastures from where you drop into Kettlewell. A good place to finish as there are toilets, cafes and pubs.

An excellent walk with magnificent views from the tops. One of my favourite walks.

Route finding is straightforward with good paths that are well marked.
