Summary The route starts at Longshaw visitors car park near Fox House. You walk back to Fox House then up Carls Wark before dropping down to Hathersage. The walk then follows the Derwent before climbing up Offerton Moor over to Abney. From Abney you drop into and climbing out of Bretton Clough to Nether Bretton and on to the Barrell Inn. Th route then goes to Sir William Hill before dropping over Eyam Moor to Leadmill and climbing up to Hathersage Booth. The final part of the route sees you dropping dowm to Upper Padley before climbing Padley Gorge back to Longshaw Park. A nice walk with good views of the River Derwent and the surrounding fells from Bretton, Offerton and Eyam Moors. Bretton Clough is very pretty in any weather and season. Route finding is easy.
