Summary The walk starts at Fairholmes and walks across the front of Derwent Dam wall to the track that runs up the eastern side. The route walks up the track to Walkden Clough and from here climbs up to Lost Lad and on to Back Tor. From here the route walks down the well trodden eastern edge of the Derwent valley, past Cakes of Bread, Dovestone Tor, Salt cellar, White Tor and Wheel Stones before descending to Whinstone Lee Moor and on to the Ladybower Inn. A short walk along the road takes you to the Ladybower Reservoir wall and after crossing it you climb up Parkin Clough to Winn Hill. The route then drops to Hope Cross before crossing the River Ashop and ascending via Hagg Farm to Lockerbrook Farm. A good track then takes you over to Ouzleden Clough and the road up the west side of the reservoirs. The final section is a short walk down the road back to Fairholmes . A good walk for inclement winter weather. The paths are easy to find and follow. There are some fine view points.
