Summary

The walk starts at Bradwell and quickly climbs up onto Bradwell Edge. From here you cross Abney Moor, then the Top of Bretton Clough before descending to Foolow. After Foolow the route crosses Longstone Moor before descending to Great Longstone. This is the southern most point of the route. The return is via Deep Rake, Coombs Dale, Stoney Middleton and Eyam. The final section takes you up Sir WIlliam Hill, drops down into Abney Clough, climbs up to Abney and onto Brough Lane. From here it's a short walk to Bradwell Edge before a sharp drop into Bradwell.

It's a good walk even if some of the paths are very muddy after periods of rain. Some of the views especially over Abney Moor are excellent. The route takes you across a number of valleys so there are a number of steep ascents and descents. The villages of Eyam and Great Longstone are worth exploring and there are extensive areas of open cast mines above Great Longstone for industrialists..

The route finding is straight forward and you are always on good paths and tracks.
