Summary

The walk starts from Hardraw and wlaks up the Pennine Way to the summit of Great Shunner Fell. The route then heads North West over the watershed between Great Sheddale Beck and West Gill to the summitt of Hugh Seat. From here the route heads south along the tops to Little Fell and Sail before descending to HEll Gill Bridge. The return is along The High Way to High Dyke where the route heads east over Tan Hill to Cotterdale. The final sees you walking down Cotterdale back to Hardraw.

An excellent walk when the weather is perfect. The route is reasonably easy to follow but care is needed in poor visibility from Great Shunner fell to Hugh Seat, from Hugh Seat to Sail and from Sail to Hells Gill. It is a walk for a clear day after a dry period.
